THE EFFICIENCY OF AEROSOLS


Ultrasonic humidifiers provide a cost efficient alternative to steam humidifiers (electrical savings of up to 90%). Small piezo ceramic elements of the size of a quarter, vibrate at 1.7 MHz and create a fine mist of only 1-3 µm small aerosols which is also known as “cold steam”.


The modular and flexible design of the units, offers a wide range of use, with humidification capacities ranging from 0.5 kg/h to 25.2 kg/h. The excellent controllability from 0-100% output, does not only recommend these devices for sensitive applications such as measuring and testing laboratories, but also for use in air ducts or local applications within machinery (PUR gluing, electrostatic reduction,…). Humidification also plays a central role in the sustainability of fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables.


Merlin predetermines the ideal moisture parameters for a given application on the basis of the results of measurements and then uses the most suitable ultrasonic humidification system to create the ideal climatic conditions for your business.

The ultrasonic humidification system Merlin FORTE works on the basis of the ultrasonic principle and humidifies the air with aerosols of 1µ.

For generating 1 kg moisture merely 52 W/h of energy is used. Compared to isothermal systems (e.g. steam humidifiers) up to 93% of energy costs are therefore saved.

Universal use, easy installation, compact design


The ultrasonic humidification system Merlin SENSO keeps classic counter-served goods considerably longer fresh and presentable.

The system may, however, also be used for direct humidification at manufacturing processes.

It works on the basis of the ultrasonic principle and humidifies the air with aerosols of 1µ­.


For generating 1 kg moisture merely 98 W/h of energy is used. Compared with isothermal systems e.g. steam humidifiers up to 93% of energy costs are therefore saved.

The disinfection program of the ultrasonic humidifier supports surface and room air disinfection.

Accurate and highly efficient humidification output in the smallest areas


The ultrasonic principle makes the humidifier Merlin PURUS an absolute master in saving: For each lb/kg humidification capacity the humidifier on average requires an energy expenditure of merely 92 W/h.


The adiabatic humidification system withdraws transformation energy from the room air; the thus created cooling effect can be used 1:1.

Compared with isothermal systems, e.g. steam humidifiers, 93% of energy costs are therefore saved.

Significantly extends the freshness and shelf life of food


The ultrasonic food humidification system merlin® FINESSE keeps food considerably longer fresh and presentable.

The system is completed with a reverse osmosis and an aerosol distribution system of hydrolysis resistant, food-safe materials. Mineral deposits are completely avoided by total desalination.


Warm, dry surface climate quickly leads to water losses (through evaporation) and reduction in vitamin content (a.o. owing to CO-release) of the fresh goods. merlin® FINESSE humidifies the ambient air with a humid aerosol cloud and through that provides for 100 % saturation, which as a result leads to a‚ reduction in goods losses of 50 – 70 %. In the long term increases in turnover and profit margin of 7 – 10 % are achieved.
