To determine the material moisture or the water content of your material, press the moisture meter flat on your product. Within seconds, the moisture meter will show you the water content of the material in the range of the measurable material depth. The moisture analyzer already contains many different product groups and displays the result as a percentage of the moisture content in the wood.

Compare wood moisture, relative humidity and ambient temperature with the EMC Chart to find out if wood will absorb moisture, keep its moisture content or loose moisture and shrink or warp.
Ambient conditions inside buildings are recommended to be at 30-50% relative humidity and 60°F to 80°F. If you stay within these recommendations, the amount of expansion and contraction of wood floors at 6-9% moisture is limited.
